terms of service
the short version: use it freely, cancel any time, and it isn't medical care.

1. what Retune is — and isn't
Retune is a wellness tool: guided sound, breathwork pacing and affirmations. It is not a medical service, and nothing in it is medical or mental-health advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you're dealing with a medical or mental-health condition, speak to a qualified professional rather than relying on Retune.
The box and 4-7-8 breathing patterns include a held breath. Ease off the hold, or choose a pattern without one, if you're pregnant or living with a heart, respiratory, epilepsy, glaucoma or serious psychiatric condition — the same caution the app shows whenever you select those patterns.
We try to describe what sound and breathwork can and can't do honestly. Where the evidence is strong (slow-breathing physiology) we say so; where something is more traditional than proven (binaural beats, Solfeggio frequencies) we say that too. We never claim it cures, heals or treats anything.
2. who can use it
You must be at least 16 to create an account.
3. your account
- Keep your sign-in details secure — you're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you think it's been compromised.
- One account per person; accounts aren't transferable.
4. membership and billing
- Free stays free. The full sound engine, unlimited offline use, all seven affirmation domains on screen and spoken aloud, breath pacing, timers, the daily rituals and four saved sessions — not a time-limited trial.
- Membership is £9.99 a month or £59.99 a year. See pricing for exactly what it includes.
- Trial. 7 days free, cancel anytime. You're not charged until it ends.
- Billing is handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. Membership renews automatically each period unless cancelled.
- Cancelling takes a few taps in your account, through Stripe's billing portal. It stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds. Because the trial means you're never charged without warning, we don't refund part-periods after a charge. If something went wrong on our end — a billing error, a duplicate charge — contact us and we'll put it right. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
5. your content
- What you create is yours — saved sessions, your own affirmation lines, voice recordings and journal entries. You give us only the limited permission needed to store and play them back for you.
- Record only your own voice, or one you have clear consent to use.
- Retune itself — the sound engine, the written affirmations, the design — stays ours. Membership is a personal licence to use it, not permission to copy or rebuild it.
6. fair use
Please don't:
- work around membership limits by any means other than paying;
- use it to harass anyone, or record someone without their consent;
- scrape it or reverse-engineer it to build a competing product;
- do anything illegal, or anything that degrades it for other people.
We can suspend accounts that break these terms, and will normally warn you first unless the issue is serious.
7. the boring but necessary part
Retune is provided as-is. We work to keep it reliable but can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
Nothing here limits liability for things the law doesn't allow us to limit — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. If you're a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
8. ending things
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from your account settings; if you have a membership, deleting cancels it in the same action. We may suspend an account for breaking these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
9. changes
If we change these terms materially we'll tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Retune after that means accepting the new terms.
10. governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
